The only negative thing I can say is that the pool and spa are part of a gym with the facilities open to the public, not just the hotel guests. The television had English and American stations. The staff is always friendly and helpful from the front desk personnel to the cleaning staff. Also, there is free internet in the executive lounge. They even packed us a to-go breakfast when we had a tour. We stayed on the executive level and had access to the executive lounge, which had a wonderfully stocked drink fridge and warm nuts and cookies available every hour of the day along with the usual executive lounge amenities (breakfast, afternoon tea, evening hors d'oeuvres and dessert). Our bathroom was also equipped with a separate shower. Along with the regular bath amenities, they had some of the best smelling bath salts ever. The bathrooms are spacious with a deep tub for baths. The beds are clean, comfortable and don't have any funny smells, like when sheets are changed and the pillows or the mattress pad is not. The rooms are clean and bigger than most European sized hotel rooms. Also, it is a relatively short car ride to many of the Must Sees of Bucharest. There is not a lot within walking distance, but taxis are pretty inexpensive and the hotel staff can advise you on public transportation. But with most of the staff knowing English and a Lounge, two restaurants and a sports bar on the property, it is a good place to come home to at the end of a busy day of working or site seeing. I am sure there is a less expensive option when in Bucharest. I good value if you compare with hotels in the United States. ![]() I generally expect a Marriott to provide a certain level of service and this one goes beyond.
